
Ainsley Dorsey
Ainsley Dorsey is an intern with the SFP Strategic Projects and Initiatives team. She is a third-year student at the University of Texas at Austin studying government, economics, and business Spanish. On campus, she was Student Government Hook the Vote Co-Director, Vice President of External Communication for Not on My Campus, and a Texas Civic Ambassador.
Off campus, Ainsley has interned for a law firm in Dallas, Texas. In the fall of 2021, she was an Archer Fellow, a University of Texas System program to connect Texans to Washington, D.C. After graduation, she plans to earn a master’s degree in Public Policy and a law degree. Her policy interests are in reproductive justice, survivor advocacy, civic engagement, and proactive, antiracist tax and budget policies.”

● Attended a 4-day conference with 27 hours of communications, civic leadership, and civil discourse training.

Longhorn Legislative Aides – Hook the Vote Co-Director
● Advised an initiative to implement Diversity & Inclusion tags for Student Government agencies.
● Researched, wrote, and presented a comprehensive report on the conduct of the legislative assembly, in partnership with the ethics and oversight committee.
● Supported Women’s Resource Agency in directing Amplify: UT Women’s Voices and an International Women’s Day campaign, in collaboration with companies such as Bumble, Outdoor Voices, and Kendra Scott.
● Created a service project that raised over $4,000 to support men and women coming out of homelessness at Community First! Village in Austin.
● Contacted companies such as Domino’s Pizza & Yerba Mate to support an outreach event that impacted over 35,000 students.
